Why PDF Pilot
Private by design
Your files are processed entirely in your browser and never sent to a server. Close the tab and everything is gone. That makes PDF Pilot safe for CVs, contracts, bank letters and ID documents.
Proper output files
PDF to Word produces a real .docx with headings, bold text and paragraphs — not a text dump with a renamed extension. Every tool is built to produce files that open correctly in Word, Excel and Acrobat.
No queues, no limits
Because processing happens on your own device, there is no upload queue and no “free trial” page limit. Work with documents as large as your browser can handle.
How it works
Pick a tool & add files
Choose a tool above, then drag in your PDF, Word document or images. You can reorder and remove files before you start.
Set your options
Page ranges, rotation, watermark text, compression level — each tool shows only the options that matter for it.
Download the result
Processing happens instantly on your device. Download a single file, or a ZIP when a tool produces several pages or images.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. All 20 tools run with JavaScript libraries loaded into your browser. Your documents are read from your device, processed in memory, and the result is downloaded straight back to you. Nothing is stored or transmitted.
Is PDF Pilot really free?
Yes. There is no account, no trial and no watermark on output files. Use any tool as many times as you need.
Why does PDF to Word sometimes differ from the original layout?
A PDF stores positioned text, not paragraphs. PDF Pilot rebuilds lines and paragraphs from the text positions and font sizes in your PDF, and marks larger text as headings and bold runs where the font indicates it. Very complex layouts with columns and tables may need small tidy-ups in Word.
What is the maximum file size?
There is no fixed limit set by PDF Pilot — it depends on your device memory. Files up to around 50–100 MB work comfortably on most modern phones and laptops. If a very large file fails, try splitting it first.
Can I use PDF Pilot offline or on my phone?
Yes — the tools work in any modern mobile or desktop browser. An internet connection is needed the first time the page loads its libraries; after that, processing itself needs no connection.
